Shaykh Tanveer Hussain studied the Islamic Sciences in Syria for 8 years with notable teachers such as: Shaykh Dr. Samir al-Nass, Shaykh Abdul-Razzaq al-Halabi, Shaykh Adeeb Kallas, Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, and Shaykh Anas al-Hibri. Sidi Tanveer is a graduate of Ma’had al-Fath al-Islami.
Previously he has taught at Shifa School as deputy head and acting head teacher as well as setting up the Sacred Sciences Programme at Shifa School.
Now he resides in High Wycombe and works for the Wycombe Islamic Mission & Mosque Trust Ltd (WIMMT) heading the education department for the last 7 years.
Tanveer has been integral in setting up and running the Certificate of Islamic Learning courses for Wycombe Mosque, running since 2013.
This includes CIL Youth classes on the weekend for under 16's, which run out of Bucks University.

CIL 1 - Foundational Islamic learning for Adults - 1 year course.
CIL 2 - Level 2 of Islamic Learning - 1 year course
CIL 3 - Level 3 or Islamic Learning - 1 year course
CIL Arabic - Language course for Adults
In addition, a Road to Scholarship (RTS) has now been running for almost a year, under the CIL banner. This is a 4 year course for under 16 year olds.
