The Prophet’s Birthday, or Milad un Nabi as it is commonly known in Muslim culture, is celebrated all over the worlds, in countries which have Muslim population. It is celebrated in the third month of the Islamic calendar. Large numbers of Muslims commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).  The date is important to Muslims because the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is regarded as a great blessing for the whole of humanity.

Wycombe Mosque has been organising an annual Milad procession for the last 35 years with the help of Buckinghamshire Council and High Wycombe police. Thousands of Muslims from High Wycombe and surrounding areas gather to celebrate the birthday of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH).  Wycombe Mosque also invites other faith leaders from High Wycombe to mark the occasion.
