Modules covered

The Al-Arbaeen An-Nawawiyyah (40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi) is a remarkable collection of prophetic sayings by one of the most esteemed scholars in Islamic history. This is a unique opportunity to delve into and reflect upon a timeless compilation that encapsulates the core aspects of faith, worship, and spirituality.
These profound hadiths highlight the foundational principles of Islam, guiding us on how to turn to Allah and embody the values of excellence, beauty, virtue, and mercy that lie at the heart of the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ.

Sins are the greatest barrier to achieving true God-consciousness (taqwa). The Prophet ﷺ explained their impact on the heart, as narrated by Imam at-Tirmidhi: when a person sins, a black mark forms on their heart. Through repentance and seeking forgiveness, the heart can be purified, but repeated sin darkens it further, creating a spiritual veil (Qur'an 83:14).
In Imam Dhahabi's al-Kabair (The Book of Major Sins), he identifies 70 major sins based on the Qur'an and Sunnah. In this module, we will explore these sins, their profound effects on the soul, and the warnings of punishment for those who do not repent. This module aims to deepen our understanding of these enormities, inspiring us to avoid them and guide others to do the same.

The Qur’an is the cornerstone of the Shari’ah, serving as its foundation across all domains—social, legal, and economic. It informs every aspect of our faith, with Tafsir acting as the "source code" that unlocks its profound meanings.
In this module, we will explore selected commentaries on the shorter chapters from the latter part of Juz Amma, drawn from classical Tafsir works. This journey offers a chance to deepen your connection with the Majestic Qur’an and bring greater understanding and reflection to your daily prayers.

This module builds on the Perfecting Worship course from CIL Essentials, offering a deeper exploration of common questions worshippers encounter regarding purity and prayer. It aims to provide a thorough understanding of these aspects of worship, addressing practical scenarios to help students worship with confidence and faith.
We will study the renowned Hanafi primer Nur al-Idah (The Light of Clarity) by Imam Shurunbulali (d. 1069 AH), a foundational text widely taught across Hanafi seminaries, from the Indian subcontinent to the Levant.
