Modules covered

Salah is an obligation, and understanding its laws is crucial. This module offers a comprehensive introduction to the principles of ritual purity and prayer, covering their history, theory, and practice. Students will learn how to achieve purity, perform Salah correctly, and deepen their understanding of its spiritual significance.

This module explores the three core dimensions of ‘Aqida: divinity, prophecy, and eschatology. It delves into the Oneness of God, Divine Attributes, and the limits of human understanding. The prophecy section examines the role of messengers and their necessary qualities. Eschatology addresses belief in angels, sacred scriptures, the unseen, signs of the end times, and the Day of Judgement, blending scriptural and rational perspectives.

This course teaches students how to ensure their financial practices align with Islamic principles and are pleasing to Allah. It draws from both classical and modern texts and covers topics such as Zakah, monetary charity, Udhiyya (Qurbani), and forms of monetary expiation. The course also introduces basic concepts of Islamic finance and addresses contemporary issues like investing in financial securities and Shariah-compliant financing.

This module explores key events in the life of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and the valuable lessons they offer. It provides a chronological overview, starting with his life before prophethood, followed by the Makkan period, and concluding with the Madina period.

Sayyidah ‘A’isha reported Allah’s Messenger ﷺ saying: “The tie of kinship is suspended to the Throne and says: 'Whoever maintains me, Allah will maintain them, and whoever severs me, Allah will sever them'” [Bukhari]. This module introduces the laws of family life, covering essential topics such as seeking a spouse, the marriage contract, maintenance, suckling, fostering, custody, separation, divorce, and the importance of preserving family ties. It is especially beneficial for those who are married or preparing for marriage.

This module explores the miraculous nature of the Qur'an, its revelation to the Holy Prophet ﷺ, and its compilation and preservation. It also introduces hadith, covering its compilation, types, and significance in Islam.
The module includes an in-depth study of the commentaries of Surahs Al-Fatiha, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas. Additionally, it highlights the lives of key figures from early Islam, including the four rightly guided Caliphs and prominent women such as Sayyidah Maryam, Aasia, Khadija, and Fatima, through their inspiring biographies.

This module provides valuable insights into a wide range of topics related to Halal and Haram, addressing over 70 legal issues. Subjects covered include the 20 rakahs of Tarawih prayer, tattoos, loud dhikr, reciting Qur’an for the deceased, kissing thumbs during the Adhan, the beliefs of the Shi’a sect, chewing tobacco, gold teeth, and the sins of the heart. It offers clarity on many practical and contemporary matters.

The Prophet ﷺ said, “I was only sent to perfect noble character” [Musnad Ahmad]. This module focuses on Adab—the Islamic concept of respect and etiquette—covering topics such as honoring the Qur’an, proper manners in eating, walking, hosting guests, and more. It emphasizes implementing these teachings to embody the Qur’anic command to follow the Prophet ﷺ, fostering love and mercy from Allah [3:31].
